I was always there in the psych unit. I came three times, twice within two weeks. The nurses were good. I was not easy and the staff will respond based on how you are towards them, which as a mentally unstable teenager was rough. Ms. Jen and Ms. Tori were my favs even though they didn't tolerate my bs and attitude. The food sucked but the nurses understood and I got bagged meals. My last time there I met with a therapist via telehealth who checked in me. The social worker who worked through the hospital was very caring and heard everything I said. Nobody judged me for anything, and that didn't mean they corrected my attitude when I ran my mouth.

I haven't been there in a little more than a year, but I hope they treat everyone now like they did me.

My wife and I want to pass on our appreciation to the entire ER staff at Sentara Albemarle. From the moment that we walked in, the staff was caring and professional.
We especially want to thank the two nurses that provided care for me during my visit. Bessie and Brooke both genuinely provided OUTSTANDING care with unmatched compassion mixed in with a little humor. They worked well as a team and seemed to enjoy what they do. My wife had several questions and they both took the time to answer thoroughly and never seemed rushed etc. Words really can not say enough here!!! Thank you!!!!!

I see a lot of people complaining about the ER and I have been here 2 times and both times was okay and where I'm from northern VA come and see how long of a wait and people talking to themselves and much more. Today visit was even better because I met a few very kind people that made my wait well worth it. Want to thank Kierra, and Hunter and Midge for making me laugh and I have to say this hospital is clean and Midge would clean everything including chairs and nurse station.

We had our baby in November 2023 and labor delivery nurses were amazing and so caring took great care of me and my love up until our beautiful baby was born and they were so great with our baby and I felt really comfortable with them! They were a big help and I will forever be grateful for them! My Dr was amazing also! I have names of everybody who took care of me each shift so I can still fill out the daisy award forms! Took me a while to get the review with healing up and taking care of my baby but I fully recommend them they did such an amazing job and we are thriving. Thank you to everyone who took care of us you are all truly a blessing!

This is the best hospital bar none in the East. They have saved me three times from the conglomeration that bought all our local hospitals out! They are fantastic with my service dog. And they are always courteous and thorough. Great team. I felt safe.

I wanna know why I was almost talked out of doing a nose swab for my sick toddler who's had a fever of 103.8 and its been fluctuating for days and mucus in his throat that makes it sound like he's not breathing correctly. We do the swab and I was told it would be later that day. We called just now over 24 hours later and the lady had an attitude and said it must not be ready yet and then calls back immediately to tell us it's all negative for everything. I do not feel like my child is in good hands at this hospital.

Fast forward now I'm pregnant and came to this hospital because I was shaking badly and I had a fever just to be told they don't know anything. Nurses also laughed about who would take care of me and stopped to switch in the middle of questioning me about stuff. I didn't feel very cared for.

Just wanted to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and nutritionists who treated my brother during his illness this week. You all do not get enough kudos nor recognition for all that you do both personally and professionally. I’m ever so grateful.

Today I was seen by Dr Pharr team to install a Portacath, for soon to start chemo for lymphoma.
It was a wonderful experience for me,, the care, the respect, the kindness, love ❤ of the whole team. I felt like queen ?.
Though, I didn't see any wings on them but I know all of them were angels!! Thank you Sentara.

I also would like to mention Dr Craig I Schranz who treated me August 15th at the ER. Thank him for the knowledge and wisdom in getting the right med for pain!! He is an angel in disguise!! Thank you Dr Schranz..
